Michele Santos
Financial Controller
Ms. Michele Santos holds two portfolios. She is the Head of Corporate Affairs of the group and serves also as the Financial Controller (“FC”) of the company. As such, she is a member of the Senior Management Team.
In corporate affairs, Ms Santos leads the Human Capital, Digital and Administration teams. She is the co-leader for the Sustainability team. As the FC, Ms Santos leads the trade finance allocation and utilisation, liquidity allocation and treasury team in the group.
During her early years in Fortrec, Ms. Santos handled business development initiatives, particularly overseas asset-based investments, and established the financial planning and analysis process of the company.
Prior to joining Fortrec, Ms. Santos gained her finance experience in the Philippines from companies Ayala Corporation, Coca-cola Export Corporation and Petron Corporation. Her roles in these companies primarily involved financial analysis, management reporting, commercial finance and financial due diligence.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines with a cum laude distinction.
