Dr Wilson Chew

Chairman

Dr Wilson Chew is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Fortrec.

Dr Chew served on the boards of Swee Hong Limited (Chairman, Remuneration Committee), a company listed on the Singapore Exchange, Singapore Institute of Directors (Chairman of the Professional Development Committee, and subsequently, as Chairman of the Regulatory Affairs & Accreditation Committee) and National Arthritis Foundation (Deputy Chairman).

Dr Chew is the Managing Partner at JP Wilson, a regional strategy and investment advisory firm which focuses on Southeast Asian private clients. He was a Partner at PwC Singapore (Head (Strategy), Entrepreneurial & Private Clients). Dr Chew spent over 20 years in Enterprise Growth and Strategy, served over 200 entrepreneur and family led companies, led more than 140 strategy engagements including 12 public listings in Asia and 2 national scale-up initiatives by the Singapore Government.

Dr Chew’s work on Enterprise Strategy is widely published. He is the course leader of The Strategy & Innovation Masterclass for Directors at the Singapore Institute of Directors. He served as a visiting tutor at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and the faculty advisor at Wharton‐SMU‐IBM and a visiting lecturer at Singapore Management University.

Dr Chew holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Australia (Adelaide) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow). He completed The Executive Leadership Programme on Corporate Board Leadership at Harvard Business School. He is presently reading Law at the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
